We went, for at least a whole hour to one of the world's oldest tourist traps, the leaning tower of Pisa.
Pauline Frommer described the tower as looking like a spaceship surrounded by a field of mimes. It does seem just like that except with a very large church and baptistery set in the field as well. We did some miming and purchased postcards. We had a feeling that if Grandma and Grandpa had come with us on this trip, having already enjoyed the splendor of Pisa at least twice before, probably would have opted to stay in Lucca for the morning and sent us to do our miming alone.
